Every year, I take a week away from my job to do nothing but photoshoots, in order to challenge myself and improve my skills as a photographer. Despite working for the best company in the world, my career is not in photography. This sometimes makes it difficult to find the right kind of time and inspiration to capture what I want. My annual 'Creative Week,' is a way for me to do what I love without the worry of heading into work the next day. I can focus on my creativity, and nothing more. This is my third Creative Week, and similar to those in the past, I will be partnering with the wonderful Miki Sarroca (*WingedInfinity). She will be serving as a make up artist, model, and she's done an incredible job of assisting me with organizing these shoots.

cant draw too well, so here's "art"

Art is a way to introduce the world to an undiscovered universe of imagination and expression, free to those who step in and use it for the better. Its a way to place the dark unknown into the light of unimaginable awesomeness, that people are willing to see in any way shape or form.

In the end though, art is art, and that just means that even if we try to capture it, it will always slip away from us, like that memorable scent in the breeze, or gentle memory that swims to the surface, waiting to be uncovered. Its that thing that we always try to express, without having a real grasp of what it is-you cant catch freedom, you cant understand beliefs, you cant see emotions, and you cant reach the beautiful scenery waiting for you at the end of the road. But art being art is what makes that possible; in its unconquerable essence that we try to define, it leads us on the path to discover the undiscoverable, think the unthinkable, and imagine the unimaginable.

So what is art? After all the philosophical type nonsense that i just wrote (completely original, btw), i still cant answer that. It is what it is, and to me, the 13 year old nameless girl, art is, well maybe,-just maybe-,imagination and the stuff that makes me, me.
