So, I hosted my first kiriban to have it be cheated to get caught. Definitely a great first kiriban experience... Now, I want to talk about it to the dA community to warn you about cheaters on deviantArt.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiriban cheaters are the most common cheaters you'll find on dA; you should watch out for those. The method these type of cheaters will use are:
I would advise making your kiriban number something random rather than something specific. (It'll be much harder for them to get it.) Or just don't do kiribans at all.
The second kind of cheater on dA is the giveaway cheater. They usually have one method of cheating which is:
I would recommend you set a rule for entering contests. Something like "no entering if account is less than a month old" or "no plz, point or default avatar accounts." This may help a little bit but not that much. Giveaway cheaters are hardest to catch.
The last kind of cheater is contest cheaters. This are the easiest to catch. They only have one method, which is:
For these types of cheaters I would recommend just using a website to find the original image. Tinyeye does it pretty well, [link]. But with modified images, it'll be much harder. You just have to hope that the image is popular enough to be noticed by somebody.
For those of you that host contests and want to stay away for the cheaters, here's a list of the dA cheaters I know. (If you know more, just send them to me so I can add to the list.)

tbh, i never thought of making a rule like "no entering if account is less than a month old" and i think that's a pretty good idea. i did post "deviants who dont have any artworks submitted" as one my rules before...
cheaters are just really... -___-
it makes me disappointed that some people would cheat just to get what they want and then there's these people who play fair. worse is, if the cheater wins. ><
Well, some people like specific numbers like 2000 or something. These people giveaway art or points to anyone who is the 2000'th person to visit their page. Usually they ask for a screen shot of the number to show that you really caught it.
